Information
Kentchurch Court offers an opportunity for discerning country-lovers to take a historic journey into an age of elegance and tranquility. We offer peace and sanctuary as well as a wide range of country activities. Kentchurch appeals to small groups of high-powered city professionals (and their families) who need to get away from it all to relax in the company of like-minded friends. The entire House may be booked for special events such as weddings, anniversaries or birthdays.
Wine weekends
A fun and yet instructive weekend which can be tailored for the novitiate to the experienced wine lover by our wine expert Jon Hurley. Discuss and enjoy carefully chosen wines from around the world in front of a roaring fire and during dinner. For those who would like a quiet but informative walk, Heather Hurley, a local Historian will organise a stroll through the countryside finishing with lunch at a nearby pub.
Riding

Bring your own horse and enjoy riding over the Kentchurch estate or take to the hills and experience trekking on the Black Mountains.
Game shooting
We can organise first class pheasant shooting on local estates for the single
gun or parties. Regrettably dogs are not allowed in the house.
Fishing

It is possible to organise a day's trout fishing on the River Monnow which runs through the estate and Salmon fishing on the Wye if given sufficient warning.
Walking and cycling
This can be either relaxing or strenuous depending on the individual! The beautiful terrain on the borders of England and Wales provides the visitor with a wonderful opportunity to explore ancient castles, secret valleys and a still unspoiled countryside.
